TROWBRIDGE continued their winning run with a comprehensive 49-8 away victory over their Dorset and Wilts One neighbours Bradford on Avon to reach the quarter-finals of the Dorset and Wilts Vase.

They took an early lead with a Alex Hill penalty followed by a Jack Hanham try in the first five minutes.

They had a strong wind at their backs and this affected the game until the last quarter when Trowbridge scored three tries after Bradford had gained territorial advantagefor a period after the interval.

Ashley Chalk went over for another trymidway through the half, converted by Hill, beforeBradford scored a penalty on one of their few excursions into Trowbridge territory.

Before the interval Trowbridge scored three moreunconverted tries, from James Lawes, Alex Hill and Ali Lund. Hill was unable to add the extras in very blustery conditions.

In the second half play was in the Trowbridge half but they defended well until a kick ahead was not fielded and Bradford went over for a try. However they did not threaten again until their left wing picked up a dropped ball on the Bradford 22 line and ran upfield with no Trowbridge defender in sight. Jack Hanham caught him but was penalised and sent to the sin bin when after staying on his feet he slipped and held on with no other Trowbridge player near.

Trowbridge survived the period when they were one short andplayed some good rugby in thefinal quarter.

They ran in further tries from Dave Martin, Sam Edwards colt Tobias Stevenson, who was making his first team debut.

Alex Hill kicked two more conversions to leaveTrowbridge's score one short of the half century.
