THE Swindon npower Wildcats ice hockey club have announced the departure of Andrew Shurmer from their playing roster.
Shurmer, who will turn 23 this weekend, leaves the team citing personal committments in his new professional venture away from the sport, plus the imminent birth of his first child.
A club spokesman said: "Everyone at the club wishes him the best in his new venture away from the sport, and anticipate happy news of an addition to his family in the very near future."
