DEFENDER Nick Ridout has rejoined Melksham Town, only two months after leaving the Conigre for Premier Division rivals Frome.
Ridout played 90 minutes for Melksham Reserves against Westbury Reserves on Saturday and said he was glad to be back among friends.
"For the moment, I'm happy to play in the reserves while I get my form and fitness back.
"I was a bit shaky at the start on Saturday and to be honest I was probably at fault for the first goal.
"But after that my confidence started to come back. I was a bit surprised I managed to last the whole game after so long without football."
Ridout took part in the warm-up before Melksham's match against rivals Calne on Tuesday night, but says it may be a few weeks before he returns to first team action.
"Kelvin (Highmore) did not sign me back on to play in the reserves, but we both know I need games.
"I've not set myself any targets as to when I want to be back in the first team. For now my priority is to get the enjoyment back.
"It's been such a bad season for me, I just want to put what's happened behind me and get on with the football."
