THE delayed Chanty Digital Ltd-sponsored Knockout Cup second round clash between third division stablemates FC Box Steam Brewery and Potterne had all the ingredients’ of a classic.
But the game that many people would have liked to have seen much later in the competition ended up being a one-sided affair, with Potterne running out 11-0 victors.
Box, who were missing talisman striker Jason Povey, fell behind to Neil Clark’s first of a four-timer.
Tom Lye's hat-trick, a Wayne House double and a goal each for Jamie Bayes and Ben Mason completed the rout.
Potterne will travel to second division Heytesbury for their quarter-final clash in a couple of weeks time.
