AFC MELKSHAM were crowned Premier Division champions on Wednesday evening after they saw of the challenge from fellow title hopefuls Pack Horse.
Melksham, who suffered a 4-1 loss in the earlier fixture, avenged that defeat with a 4-1 success of their own as Mike Rogers’ side finished top of the pile.
Callum Demkiv, Ian Dowell, Josh Robinson and an own goal from Alex Pring wrapped up victory for a Melksham side who, had they not had three points deducted earlier in the season for playing an ineligible player when they beat White Horse, would have already had the title won.
Matt Hooper replied for Pack Horse who will be hoping for a better result when they face Corsham Wildcats in 11 days times in the knowledge that a win will see them as runners-up for a second successive season.
