CORSHAM CC Wildcats had already missed out on back-to-back Premier Division titles by the time they visited Pack Horse FC, but both teams still had everything to play for at Stanley Park as the runners up spot to AFC Melksham was up for grabs.
The Wildcats must have thought their chance had gone as they arrived for the game with just nine players but, against the odds, Leigh Rogers' side turned in a brilliant performance and claimed an unbelievable 10-1 win to seal their second piece of silverware this term, having won the Knockout Cup back in April.
A five-goal haul for Adam Mitchell catapulted him above Melksham’s Sean Fordham at the division’s leading marksman, Leigh Rogers, Darrin Moss, Tom Jones, Sam Thomson and Dan Sibley sharing the others.
Craig Fisher claimed the Pack Horse consolation.
