BATH opened their European Challenge Cup campaign with a 25-22 victory over Top 14 side Pau in France.
Fly-half Rhys Priestland scored 20 points after kicking six penalties and converting Semesa Rokoduguni's try midway through the first half.
Pau touched down three times, through full-back Romain Buros, openside Sean Dougall and centre Watisoni Votu, with Brandon Fajardo kicking two conversions and a penalty.
