A GOAL at the death from Nick Manifold saw Pheasant collect a further three points in their bid to claim a top two finish in Division One.

Leading 3-1 with 10 minutes remaining Pheasant allowed Lavington Rangers to level up at 3-3 before Manifold grabbed the winner.

Pheasant led 1-0 through Josh Legg’s 15th-minute effort before Jason Greenidge got Lavington level on 25 minutes.

After the break a Rich Hudson penalty in the 50th minute saw Pheasant regain the lead and when put them 3-1 ahead in the 75th minute with a superb solo effort it should have been game over.

Quick-fire goals from Jamie Hall and Ben Jenks in the 79th and 80th minutes saw parity restored.

With the clock running down Manifold struck Pheasant’s all important winner.

Referee Dave Pound had an excellent game in the middle.

With their own pitch being unplayable FC Lacock reversed their fixture with FC Bradford to Poulton where they fell to a first defeat in four games after suffering a 2-1 loss.

A first goal of the season for Lance Davis, who scored from the penalty spot, gave Bradford the lead.

Mike Evans made it 2-0 with a 25 yard thunderbolt that flew over the keeper.

Ryan Ross pulled a goal back for Lacock but it was just a consolation.

A 6-2 victory for Calne BFC at Oakhill moved Chris Edes side into second place behind Grapes United, who were in cup action.

First-half goals from Jamie-Lloyd Davis, Darren Holcombe and Stuart Windsor put Calne on top.

Windsor had a second half to remember as he bagged himself another three to make up the winners' half dozen.
