WITH the weather taking its toll on this weekend’s fixtures, the only Premier Division match that beat the big freeze saw a re-run of last Sunday’s meeting between Bremhill View and Audley FC which the former won 7-2.
On this occasion, Bremhill took the points with a much closer 3-2 winning scoreline.
Goals from Caner Ozkaya and Billy Gleed put Bremhill 2-0 up at half time.
Sam Myles reduced the arrears for Audley after being set up by Craig Garner and only a superb save from Craig Edwards denied Myles an equaliser before Tom Sigee went up the other end to net a scrappy third for Bremhill.
Audley, who through injury played much of the second half with 10 men, gave themselves a lifeline when Garner scored in stoppage time, but it wasn’t to be as Bremhill held out to claim another three valuable points in their bid to be top-flight winners.
