WEST Wilts Ladies 3 were unable to halt the Frome 3 juggernaut in West Clubs League Wessex Division Three as they lost out 3-2 to the leaders.
Frome had dropped just two points in their 14 matches to date and held a commanding lead over second-placed West Wilts, who welcomed back Issy Robinson in goal.
Frome struck first, with a deflection from an opportunistic cross but Wilts responded with Yolanda Kennedy and Ellie Brown combining well and Sally Ford’s running causing problems.
An excellent run and cross from Charlotte Bennett was converted by Nichola Ford for the equaliser and before half-time, the same duo linked up to put Wilts ahead.
Frome pushed on in the second half, equalising from a penalty corner before scoring the winner.
