ATHLETICOW Moodrid’s last league outing of 2017 saw them defeat Westbury Rangers 4-1 to go top of the Premier Division and Grant Bridewell’s side extended their lead at the summit courtesy of a thumping 14-4 win in the first match of this year.
Two brilliant free-kicks from Mark Young and goals from Ashley Easton and Corey Gardner were just consolations for Westbury who had Ben Mead sent off after 39 minutes.
Jamie Walters led the Moodrid rampage with a triple hat-trick, Cullen Wylie, Dean Taccuso, Ben Tylee, Rory Collins and an own goal making up the tally.
Both Calne BFC and FC Bradford played their first top-flight game since late October and it was Bradford who took the spoils thanks to a 3-0 success, Mark Maguire, Lee Ridout and John Carroll sharing the goals.
