TROWBRIDGE captain Assad Fudadin helped his side to remain top of the Premier Two table after a superb bowling and batting display to beat Keynsham on Saturday.

Trowbridge won by four wickets with six overs to spare after they were set a target of 140 to win by Keynsham. The Trowbridge bowlers were in fine form with Fudadin taking two for 36,Toby Dorgan two for 21 and Marcus Brown three for 49.

After losing their top order the home side were struggling on 70 for five but Theo Kalic (38 not out) and Tom Bryan (23 not out) helped them to atotal of 139 after 50 overs.

Keynsham started strongly in the field with bowler Richard Pannell claiming the wicket of opening batsman Ian Pinchen (8) lbw, which left Trowbridge on 23 for one.

Sam Pollinger then caught and bowled Peter Hickerton, who made a respectable 32. Trowbridge then lost Luke Morris (24) but Fudadin (44 not out) and Rob Russam (19 not out) put on a partnership of 41 to secure the victory for thetravelling side.

Skipper Fudadin said: "We're getting better as a team now and you can see that because everyone is becoming more confident.

"I believe our bowling was the main reason we won this game and I believeour bowling is our strong point generally.

"But having said that our batting is really coming together and I'm veryhappy about that.

"I'm happy with my own performance but it's a team game and I'm happy when the team wins. even if I don't score any runs."

Trowbridge travel to second placed Bristol Cricket Club tomorrow but they will be without Guy Tadman. David Brown will replace him.
