Swindon Town goalkeeper Conor Brann has joined local club Swindon Supermarine on a loan deal until January.

The 20-year-old is yet to get on the field for Swindon since his deadline day move from Galway United in 2022 but was a regular on the bench last season.

Brann makes the move across the town to Southern League Premier South side Swindon Supermarine to play under new boss Stuart Fleetwood.

Supermarine sit bottom of the division and are yet to win a league game ahead of their trip to Tiverton Town tomorrow.

Fleetwood said of his new signing:  “Conor is a goalkeeper who needs games at this stage of his career and we are here to facilitate that with our great relationship with Swindon Town.

“He’s tall, good with his feet and most of all, hungry to play games.

“It’s a great addition to our squad and will be of great benefit to us.”

Brann had been looking to gain more senior football this season after spending last season learning under Sol Brynn.

Speaking in July, he said: “I’m progressing well, but I still have so much more to go. I’m still only young, and with Mildy [Steve Mildenhall] now, I’ll keep progressing and we’ll see what happens this year.

“I obviously need to play games – this was my first game in a year, which is a long time – but I think I’m doing well.

“The experience of the first team is good for training, but if you’re not playing games then you need to go and do that.

“I don’t know what’s going to happen, but I’m hopeful I’ll get some game time somewhere, so I just need to work hard every day, impress, and see what happens.”

Supermarine have also brought back forward Bradley Gray on a non-contract basis seven years after he last left the club to begin his fourth spell at the Webbswood Stadium.

During his spells at the club, Gray has registered 147 starts and 31 substitute appearances, scoring 43 goals and will be looking to add to the leadership and help raise the players' confidence levels following a difficult two months.

Fleetwood said: "Everyone will know Brad as he’s been here before. I played with him during my time as a player here at Supermarine and he has good technical skills and is someone who will always give one hundred per cent.”
