Swindon Town will take on Aldershot Town in the FA Cup First Round on Saturday 4th November at 3 p.m.

Town were drawn against the National League opposition, hoping to make the second round of the FA Cup for just the fourth time in the last ten years.

The game will be taking place at the County Ground and has now been confirmed as a 3 p.m. kick-off on Saturday 4th November.

The Shots sit 8th in the National League table and have won four of their last five matches across all competitions, including a 4-1 win against Lewes FC in the FA Cup Fourth Qualifying Round to book their place in the first round proper.

However, FA Cup progress has been tough sledding for Aldershot in recent years as well, having not made the second round since they knocked out Portsmouth in 2014/15.

The last time these two clubs came up against each other, Paolo Di Canio's eventual League Two champions were unable to rubber-stamp their place in League One with three games remaining.

Paul Caddis did strike from the penalty spot, but goals from Guy Madjo and Danny Hylton meant Town had to wait another week to seal promotion.
