Swindon Town striker Jake Young has received his second League Two Player of the Month nomination of the season.

Young scored six goals in five games during November, which included memorable strikes against Colchester United and Harrogate Town, on top of a match-winning brace against Mansfield Town.

The 22-year-old already won the award for his performances in August and will hope to take it home for the second time.

Michael Flynn said of the EFL's top goal scorer: "He's hungry, he has been hungry all season. He has got 16 goals and he is loving his time here and you can see the smile on his face.

"I will take it, 16 goals, I can't be too picky."

Young is up against Ali Al-Hamadi from this weekend's opponents AFC Wimbledon, who scored four goals in his three appearances, Tranmere Rovers winger Rob Apter, who notched four goals in four games, and Barrow's George Ray, who scored three goals and got an assist from centre-back.

Winning the award would make Young the second Bradford striker on loan at Swindon to be named League Two Player of the Month multiple times, with Eoin Doyle taking home the prize in October, November, and December in 2019.
