Charlie Austin said that Swindon Town made too many mistakes to expect to take anything from their 4-0 defeat against AFC Wimbledon.

Omar Bugiel opened the scoring inside ten minutes before Armani Little scored from range and Ali Al-Hamadi added a late double to cap off a long afternoon for Swindon.

Austin said that Swindon made the kind of errors that if you make at any level you are going to be made to pay for.

He said: "[My initial thoughts are of] Disappointment. We got punished for mistakes, I wouldn't say individual mistakes, but mistakes.

"That is what happens in professional football, it happens all over the country when you play football, it doesn't matter where you play, if you make those mistakes you are going to get punished and today we did.

"Today we didn't start great, let's be honest, within 15 minutes we are one down and Frazer [Blake-Tracy] clears one off the line, regardless of whether it is a head injury or not, we are still one down.

"We didn't really get back into the game throughout the first half, [Dan] Kemp hits the post at the start of the second half and you are thinking that if that goes in we are back in the game.

"They are team mistakes, if you don't make a pass then why didn't you make the pass? Because somebody called for it.

"It is a team game, a team effort, and the team makes mistakes, not any individuals."

Austin said that although they have cut out many of these mistakes of late, this type of performance has happened too many times this season.

He said: "I think that is football where you play the games and you learn, some people learn quicker than others, of course, but the more games you play the more savvy you get.

"At the moment we are falling short of that, well at the moment that is not true, today we fell short of that.

"In the last three games, we took seven points out of a possible nine and we put to bed the poor run that we were on.

"We have to close the door on this now, we don't dwell on it. Yes we were beaten 4-0, and yes it was a far from great performance, but we have a busy December coming up with lots and lots of games."
