Michael Flynn said that many of his players do not have the right attitude for professional football following their 3-1 defeat to Crawley Town.

Danilo Orsi and Jack Roles both found the net in a first half in which Swindon had looked well off the pace in all aspects of the game.

Orsi notched another shortly after the restart to end the game as a contest before Dan Kemp added a consolation with what could be his last touch as a Swindon player in second-half stoppage time.

Flynn said that there had been a frank exchange of views in the dressing room after Swindon's fifth defeat in their last six matches.

He said: "That was not good enough. Our finishing was poor, our defending the same, they hit the target three times and scored three.

"The decision-making [was poor], I thought we were second-best in the first half.

"We actually had some good chances but the goals that we gave away were nowhere near good enough.

"A lot of them [the players] need to have a look at their performances and really evaluate what they think they are going to get out of the game.

"It needs new personnel, we need to bring new players in with better mentalities and a better work ethic.

"It is my job to try and attract them here and improve the squad, the injuries have not helped.

"I have tried to back the players as much as I can in the press but there are certain aspects that have nothing to do with injuries.

"I can say it now because the window is open and I have got a chance to get players in.

"It is not just me who is saying this, I have just had the club captain say it to them in there and the vice-captain.

"It is not just me that is saying it, they have had some home truths and it is going to change soon.

"There is a lot of improvement to be had of late and I have told them that if they are not up for it then they are going to have a very, very short career."

The three goals they let in at Crawley mean that Swindon are the third side in League Two to bring up a half-century of goals conceded this season.

Flynn said that the desire of his side to keep the ball out of the back of the net has not been sufficient too often this season.

He said: "We were too easy to score against, I am not going to try and dress anything up, we were too easy to score against and that is not good enough for this football club.

"Personal pride and professional pride have got to come in, Orsi could have done anything out there, he looked like a Championship player today.

"If I was one of the defenders who was playing out there today then I would be taking that personally."
