Swindon Town top goal scorer Jake Young has been recalled by fellow League Two side Bradford City following his successful loan spell.

Young bagged 16 goals during his time with Town, second only to Notts County's Macaulay Langstaff in League Two, during a remarkable loan spell.

The 22-year-old had many memorable performances for Town, including netting four times in a 6-0 win over Crawley in August and scoring a match-winning brace, including a stoppage-time winner over Mansfield Town.

Speaking to the Telegraph and Argus, new Bradford boss Graham Alexander confirmed that he would be bringing Young back after their defeat against Crewe Alexander.

He said: "Jake will come back to us when we’re back in training this week.

“I’ll sit down and have a chat because I haven’t met him yet. I’ve only spoken to him over the phone a couple of times just to keep in contact.

“It will be good to see him and integrate him back into the squad and see how he goes.

“If he was someone else’s player, we’d be looking at him with jealous eyes. He’s been in great form, fair play to him.

“I’m sure he’s enjoyed his football there and hopefully he will continue to enjoy his football with us.”
