Swindon Town have completed the signing of former fan favourite Harry McKirdy on a loan deal until the end of the season from Hibernian.

The 26-year-old spent a little over a season at the County Ground, ending his only full season with 22 goals, a career-high, and a spot in the League Two Team of the Season as he helped to power Town into the play-offs, scoring both of their goals in the semi-final against Port Vale.

McKirdy then started the following season with Swindon, netting another two goals in his five appearances before he made the switch north of the border to Hibernian for an undisclosed fee on transfer deadline day in the summer window.

The Swindon Town Player of the Season has had an interrupted spell at Easter Road, only making 24 appearances in 18 months, with cardiac surgery in July 2023 limiting him to just two appearances this season.

The winger came through the academy at Aston Villa, never making a senior appearance for the Villains, but would have loan spells with Stevenage, Crewe Alexandra, and Stevenage, before leaving in 2019.

He then had spells with Carlisle United and Port Vale before arriving at Swindon in 2021 on trial and earning a contract.
