Swindon Town have completed the signing of Leeds United winger Sean McGurk on a permanent deal.

The 20-year-old is a left-winger who originally started out in the academy at Wigan Atheltic before moving to Leeds United, following in the footsteps of Joe Gelhardt who had made the same move a year earlier.

McGurk has the versatility to play on both wings and has been in red-hot form in Premier League 2 this season, scoring four goals and registering three assists in eight appearances.

The winger has featured for Leeds in the EFL Trophy during both the 2021/22 and 2022/23 seasons, making starts against Bolton Wanderers, Tranmere Rovers, Oldham Athletic, and Salford City, playing across the forward positions during those games.

McGurk becomes Town's ninth signing of the January transfer window and third on Deadline Day and rounds out a group with significant firepower.

Gavin Gunning will now have Charlie Austin, Rushian Hepburn-Murphy, Paul Glatzel, Tyrese Shade, Aaron Drinan, Harry McKirdy, and Sean McGurk to choose from in his front three.

McGurk will be eligible to make his debut for the club at Rodney Parade on Saturday as Swindon take on Newport County in League Two.
