Swindon Town under-18s will take on Tottenham Hotspur or Manchester City in the semi-finals of the FA Youth Cup if they make it to that stage.

The semi-final draw for the FA Youth Cup has been made and it has seen the winners of the March 7 clash between Swindon and Bristol City at Ashton Gate pitted against the winner of Manchester City against Spurs, who face each other on Saturday.

Both clubs have a fine history in this competition, winning it three times each and contesting ten finals combined.

To begin contemplating another glamour cup tie, Town will have to see off stern opposition in Bristol City and make it beyond the quarterfinals for the second time in the club’s history.

Tickets went on sale for the match at Ashton Gate this week and under-18s manager Sean Wood is hopeful that a strong away crowd will be there to help roar on his side against their local rivals.

Swindon will be hoping to emulate the success of Don Rogers and his youth side of 1963/64, who knocked out Arsenal in the last eight of this competition, and then defeated Queen’s Park Rangers, before being beaten by Manchester United in the final.
