U17/18 LEAGUE CUP

A DOUBLE hat-trick from Chikiah Douglas helped Warminster Highbury to a 13-0 home win against FC Chippenham.

Chippenham earned praise from the Highbury manager for never giving up despite the scoreline. Highbury also saw goals from Alex Smith (2), Joe Dufosee (2), Henry Hayford-Taylor, Ali Rose and Matt Russell.

RON & EDNA SALES U15 LEAGUE CUP

MELKSHAM Town Youth Blue took a 2-0 lead at the break against visitors Calne FC Yellow.

Calne battled on after the break, scoring twice, but three more from the home side saw the Blues through to the next round.

Sam Walker (2), Jake Cooper, Ryan Underwood and Charlie Austin scored for Melksham.

U14 TIM KERR MEMORIAL TROPHY

FROME Collegians secured their place in the final four, running out 10-2 winners at Bradford Town Youth A. Alex Carter scored both goals for Bradford.

Worton and Cheverell went through following a 7-1 home win against FC Chippenham.

Worton saw goals from Bodin, Gingell, Sage, Dickenson (2), Francis and O’Donovan.

U11s LEAGUE CUP

FC CHIPPENHAM ran out comfortable winners against Bradford Town Youth A at the end of a close contest.

After a nervy start where both teams had chances but Chippenham opened the scoring after 20 minutes when Tadgh Feerick’s free kick was chipped over the wall and volleyed home by Christian Frimpong.

Bradford hit back almost immediately with a looping shot from outside the box to make it 1-1 at the break.

Playing with the hill in the second half Bradford made a bright start, but a quick break from Chippenham put half time sub Sam Costain through and he finished clinically.

The turning point came after a Bradford corner was taken short and another looping shot was deflected over the keeper but superbly cleared off the line by defender Will Summers.

Chippenham broke and soon had a corner at the other end, where Matt Kirtley’s pinpoint cross into the box was headed home by Nathan Howell giving Chippenham a 3-1 lead.

Bradford looked winded after that and, under pressure from a Kieran Fitzwater run, conceded a free kick outside their area.

Feerick chipped the shot into the danger area and in the scramble Frimpong was again first to it to confirm Chippenham’s place in the semi final.

U9 League Cup Trowbridge Wanderers dominated the first half of their tie at Bromham, taking a 2-0 lead before the interval with goals from Stefan Aland and Kia Thorpe.

Bromham bounced back in the second half, sending the game into extra time. Sebastian Hounsell regained the lead for Wanderers with further goals from Phoebe Collyer and Kia Thorpe seeing Wanderers through 5-2.

U9 DIVISION ONE

FC CHIPPENHAM A got their second half of the season off to a great start, taking a 2-0 lead against Castle Combe Colts, going on to finish 5-1 winners. Luke D’Arcy, Caine Bradbury, Kyle Pouge-Elms (2) and an own goal were the scorers.

U9 DIVISION FIVE

BISHOPS Cannings came back from 2–0 down to level at 2-2 against Melksham Town Youth Magpies, with goals from Alex Lemon and Nathaniel Fiddy.

Melksham extended their lead before a Jack Brown free Kick levelled the scores for the second time.

U10 RED DIVISION

MATTHEW Harvey and Callum Hibbert secured a 2-0 lead at the break for home side Biddestone Youth against Warminster Highbury Blacks.

Hibbert completed his hat-trick in the second half with Harvey scoring his second and a single from Marcus Kershaw leaving the final score at 6-0.

Mere Town Youth stole the show in the first half against Marshfield Juniors, taking a 2-0 lead.

Honours were even after the break, with both sides scoring one apiece, giving Mere the win at 3-1. Bailey Hodge (2) and Jani Guy-Knapp scored for Mere.

U10 YELL0W DIVISION

BRADFORD Town Youth Eagles notched up their first win of 2010 after running out 5-2 winners at home against Bromham Youth.

The Eagles saw goals from Elliott Dickinson, James McLeod and a hat-trick from man of the match Jordan Smith.

U13 GREEN DIVISION

A HOTLY-CONTESTED game between Calne FC and Melksham Town Youth Red ended goalless.

U14 RED DIVISION

A HAT-TRICK from Callum Elkins and singles from Harry Page, Nick Tayler and Danny Chadwick secured a 6-0 win for Westbury Youth A at a struggling Bishops Cannings.

U15 GREEN DIVISION

CASTLE Combe Colts fought back from a 3-1 half-time deficit to defeat Trowbridge Wanderers 6-3 at home.

A goal by Haiden Bethell gave the Colts a glimmer of hope at the break, but Harry Prangle’s header, Matt Hughes, and a hat-trick from Matt Chappell, including a penalty turned the game on its head.

U16 RED DIVISION

MELKSHAM Park gave visitors and title contenders Trowbridge Wanderers a run for their money, Wanderers taking a narrow 2-1 lead at the break.

Wanderers eventually took the points 3-2, Stuart Jones and Jack Craig scoring for Park.

U17 BLUE DIVISION

WESTBURY Youth B did well to hold Worton and Cheverell to a 1-1 half time score, but Worton proved the stronger of the two over the whole game taking a 7-3 win. Flynn Precup (2) and Adam Gratton scored for Westbury.
