WILTSHIRE have taken a vice-like grip on the penultimate match in the Minor Counties Championship against neighbours Berkshire at Station Road, Corsham.
The visitors slumped to 68-5 at stumps last night thanks to a superb opening spell from South Wilts seamer Alex Senneck.
Senneck struck three times before leg-spinner Pat Turk claimed two wickets in two balls to leave Berkshire reeling. Earlier, James Golding dominated the Berkshire bowlers on his way to a fine 106, his second century of the summer.
Wicketkeeper Tom Morton (71) and opener Eddie Abel (57) also made good use of the flat track and quick outfield to help Wiltshire to a first innings total of 362-seven declared in 90 overs.
Play resumes today at 11am.
