OVERNIGHT frost and cold winds kept weights low in the Wilts Angling match at Rood Ashton.

Bradford’s Ian Willetts won with 25lb 2oz of carp, ahead of Jim Butcher, also from Bradford, with 19lb 5oz of carp.

Dean Adams, from Bradford, clinched third with 16lb 4oz of carp with Bradford’s Ian Stainer fourth with 7lb of carp.

IN-FORM Willetts picked up another victory at Sunday’s Wilts Angling Open match at Rood Ashton with 74lb 4oz of carp.

Holt’s Pete Neate was second with 61lb 12oz of carp, followed by Ian Stainer with 55lb 13oz of carp.

Other placings: 4. Rob Kepner Melksham 55 lb 0 oz; 5. Darren Fletcher Melksham 46 lb 10 oz; 6. Matt Skyrme Trowbridge 46 lb 0 oz.

THE Tuesday Open match at Ivy House Fishery psaw Mark Ogbourne of Ivy House with 42lb of carp, followed by John Williams, of Ivy House, with 28lb 8oz of carp and silvers.

Dave Baker, of Trowbridge, was third spot with 26lb of carp and silver with fishery owner Jo Warner coming fourth with 24lb 6oz.

DEVIZES Gary Etheridge won the Saturday Open at Ivy House Fishery with 61lb 6oz of carp with Andy Lord, of Ivy House, next with 35lb 7oz of carp and silvers.

Ryan Shipp from Westerleigh took third with 29lb 14oz of carp and silvers with Chippenham’s Mick Gale fourth with 28lb 10oz of silvers.

THE first round of the Kennet & Avon Canal Teams of Four League was fished from Farmers to Wolfhall, John Davies of Oakwood Blue winning with 17lb 6oz orf skimmer.
