FRESHFORD United moved a step closer to finishing the season as Division One runners-up behind champions Trowbridge Wanderers after their Tuesday night success against Bradford United.
Freshford, who won 5-0, are level on points with Westbury United Reserves and only a defeat at the weekend to Bradford by 11 clear goals would deny them second place.
Ryan Mortimer put Freshford ahead, Mark Birleson’f first of the evening doubled their lead prior to the break.
Two more goals from Birleson saw him complete his hat-trick and substitute Matt Altree wrapped up the points when he bagged his first ever goal for the club.
