ANOTHER strong team performance gave West Wilts, featuring four junior players, the win they deserved.
A lacklustre start saw Wick take an early lead but with Laura Allsop motoring down the right, Karla Cundick soon levelled, picking up a rebound off the keeper.
Wick again went in front, but Wilts soon regained control and kept it thereafter.
Jess McLean’s skill and commitment on a run from halfway brought the equaliser and, after Shana Lewis made a superb save to keep the score level, Fiona Pridham gave her side the lead.
In the second half, Elizabeth Robson provided an outlet down the right, supported by Allsop and Vicky Whittaker.
Jess Agate and Cundick proved a formidable force down the left channel and Amanda Robson scored a goal on her birthday.
Pridham’s second sealed the win. West Wilts go to Frys on Sunday (noon).
