Spring has arrived, especially in the town of Warminster, and to celebrate, they are hosting an independent Spring Market throughout the streets!

On the 24th of March, the town of Warminster held its first street Spring Market, in which small companies could sell their products. The market was held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with High Street and Weymouth Street being closed, diverting traffic around the outside of the town. High Street was lined with gazebos for each small business to set up. As well as this, small independent businesses set up stalls in Warminster’s Civic Centre. Small shops within Warminster were also given stalls, like the men’s vintage shop Gilmours Garmz, that can be found down Chinn’s Court. Live music played in the garden by St. Lawrence’s Chapel, ensuring there was fun available for all people.

Just over 90 stalls filled Warminster, causing flocks of people to be present at the event. Many families attended the market, creating a great outcome for both businesses in the town and small businesses in and surrounding the town. With stands for all ages and good weather, the turnout was phenomenal. Some of the more popular stands include those that sold a variety of sweet treats, many crochet stands, and a selection of stands that sold handmade gifts such as artwork and clothing.

As well as people who live in Warminster, people who live in surrounding towns, and those staying at Longleat and Center Parcs were encouraged to join in the spring festivities, and it is safe to say that they didn’t disappoint.
