A month-long honeymoon in New Zealand, with a short stopover in Hong Kong, followed the wedding of Miss Ruth Underwood and Mr Robert Shilston at Holy Trinity Church, Dilton Marsh, on August 29.
The bride was attended by her sister Kim Underwood and sister-in-law Catherine Shilston, with the bridegroom’s business partner and old schoolfriend Andrew Betts as best man.
After the ceremony a champagne reception was held in the garden of the bride’s family home, Little Fairwood Farm, Dilton Marsh, followed by speeches, dinner and dancing to Ultimate Madness in a marquee in the evening.
The couple met in 2001 while studying engineering at Bristol University. The bride is now a fluid dynamist with Arup Engineering Consultants in London and the bridegroom is a partner in London-based software development company Assanka.
