GENERAL ELECTION: CONSTITUENCIES
Your Say Your Times
I would like to draw the attention of residents of Wiltshire to the latest consultation by Wiltshire Council that could see bus passes only being able to be used after 9.30am. It seems to me that once again Wiltshire Council is looking to save £180,000 at the expense of the elderly and disabled. It could be suggested that if leading councillors hadn’t taken their eye-watering increases in the allowances these cuts wouldn’t now be necessary. − Cllr Terry Chivers, Independent, Melksham Without NorthWhat about workers?
Surely I am not alone in being irked by minority groups claiming to speak for the people of Wiltshire? Who are these people who condemn fracking so roundly and are prepared to use any legal means to stop it? Whoever they are, they haven’t bothered to seek the opinion of the majority and it follows that they have no right to speak for us. − Tony Sedgewick, DevizesNot speaking for all
