POPULAR Bradford on Avon restaurant and hotel Timbrell's Yard are celebrating its first birthday by throwing a party in aid of Dorothy House Hospice Care turning 40.

On Thursday, May 5, the Draco Pub company site will throw the jamboree for a drinks reception, three course meal, charity auction, birthday cake and live music.

The venue, which took a year to refurbish as part of a £1.5m investment, will throw the event from 7pm with tickets going at £30 per person, with the proceeds going to Dorothy House.

Rob Greacen, Managing Director of the Draco Pub Company which owns Timbrell’s Yard said: "We’re honoured to be hosting this celebration in aid of Dorothy House Hospice Care, a vital part of our community. It’s going to be a fantastic night and I hope as many people as possible will come along to help us to celebrate and to raise funds for such a deserving local charity.

“From the very start we were overwhelmed by the support that we had from the local community and would like to say a very big thank you to them and to all the team at Timbrell’s.

Henrietta Beard, Corporate & Major Donor Fundraiser at Dorothy House Hospice Care said: “We’re absolutely delighted that Timbrell’s Yard has offered to host an event in aid of Dorothy House Hospice Care in our 40th birthday year as they themselves celebrate the huge success of their first year in Bradford on Avon. The support of the team at Timbrell’s Yard is fantastic and I am looking forward to the festivities on the night.”
