Trowbridge Arts is appealing for more volunteers to help support its live performances, art exhibitions and marketing activities.

The group is funded by Arts Council England and Wiltshire Council to offer professional performances, workshops and art exhibitions.

Most of its events are held in Trowbridge Town Hall.

Regular art exhibitions will be taking place in the town hall from next Thursday (Sept 11), starting with local artist Pat Drinkwater’s work, The Golden Forest.

Tracy Sullivan, director of Trowbridge Arts, said: “We are about to begin opening the Town Hall six days per week in order that people can come in and see the exhibitions we are hosting and meet artists working with us.

“We need a team of volunteers who are able to work on a rota basis to help us achieve this, as well as supporting our many live events throughout the year and particularly during the Arts Festival in October.”

Entry to the exhibition on Thursday is free and all are welcome from 5pm-8pm.
