A POLICE helicopter has spent the morning searching for thieves after a car was stolen from the Avon and Somerset area.
The helicopter, which spent more than half an hour hovering over Trowbridge town centre, was mobilised by the National Police Air Service at 9.30am after the vehicle was seen travelling towards Wiltshire.
Police units also patrolled the area but the two forces have since lost sight.
More to follow.
