Wiltshire Council has announced new bus services after more than 5000 people used the latest Wiltshire Connect on-demand services in the Pewsey Vale area.

The new routes will launch on Monday, October 30th, providing an on-demand service including Marlborough and Hungerford and a new direct 100 bus service between Marlborough and Devizes.

The 100 is a semi-flexible service with a planned route and timetable that can deviate according to demand.

The new timetabled 110/120 service and the Wiltshire Connect on-demand service will also replace the existing 20/22 service from Marlborough to Great Bedwyn and Hungerford.

Full timetables are available on the Wiltshire Connect website.

Residents are invited to have their say on the future of bus services in the county for the Wiltshire Bus Review.

Councillor Caroline Thomas, cabinet member for transport, said: “Wiltshire Connect has been a fantastic success so far, with more than 5,000 passengers using the service, and more than 2,400 people downloading the easy-to-use smartphone app.

“It's really easy for people of all ages to book their bus journey on the smartphone app, or by calling our dedicated phone line, up to seven days before they wish to travel or with as little as 30 minutes' notice.

“We’re also working on a web-based booking portal to give people even more options to book their ride.”
